BURGER & LOBSTER.
What is life without salad?
After a long teaser of "opening soon", the popular London chain of restaurant, Burger & Lobster, finally opened its doors on 23rd of December 2016 at Sky Avenue Resorts World Genting.
Sky Avenue is a new mall that is connected to First World Hotel. Everything in Genting is somehow interconnected, you just need to find it. You can park at First World Hotel and walk to Sky Avenue. The restaurant is located at Level 2.
For the love of good food, I've been wanting to visit this restaurant since the opening .. but knowing how Malaysians go craaaaaay over famous food outlet that is newly open. I can't help but imagine the long hour queue. My heart willing, but leg not so.
So I waited .. and waited .. and waited.
True enough! NO QUEUE. Happiness is when you travelled an hour, through the heavy rain, up the winding road, in the cold weather, stomach empty .. and you get to walk right in to be served.
Four kilos gained.
Five hour journey home. (kidding! but the traffic was bad)
Much better and more value for money as compared to Pince & Pints @ Telawi, Bangsar.
those who agreed with me, fist bump!
Lobsters are fresh, juicy & sweet.
The lobster shell colour in London, however, seemed to more red.
Lobster size for the one I had in London and here in Genting is about the same, maybe slightly smaller for all the standard lobster item on the menu. Yes, they offer papa and grandpapa lobsters! "THE BIG BOYS" refer to my picture above
It is worth the trip, worth the price, and worth the calories!
For chilli lovers, yes, the chilli lobster is worth the try, the chilli is spicy and satisfying especially with some egg in the dish. (who don't love eggs??) However, the flavour can be a lil' overwhelming if you are aiming to taste more of the lobster.
All prices listed are GST inclusive and there is no service charge. If that is not attractive enough, how about a small discount for all Genting card holder? That's right, ALL. Any Genting card from normal membership to whatever special privilege membership card they offer.
I did not bring along my membership card. What a bummer! But! Being a Penangite (yes, we shameless penang bunch), I just casually walk to the next table and ask to borrow their card. Yes, it works too! But you will have to pay by cash only.
